Want to know the # 1 secret to living a longer and healthier life? It’s all about staying physically active and keeping your body moving. The more you move the more you slow down the aging process and the healthier you will become.
Many of us are so busy that fitting in physical activity can seem impossible on most days. Only 5% of Americans perform vigorous activities on a given day. But sedentary activities such as watching TV and movies were carried out daily by at least 80% of Americans. Researchers found that sedentary activities dominated people’s time, followed by moderate and then vigorous levels of activity.
Want to increase your success to be more physically active? Think more about the word “activity” and less about “exercise”. Some people associate exercise with dragging themselves to a gym, working out and then quitting not long after they have started. Movement is movement so pick an activity that you like and will stick with. See my top 10 list for some ideas of simple activities you can add into your life every day.
