5 Energy Zappers and How to Bounce Back

April 7, 2012

We all have a tired moment every now and then. Maybe; you didn’t get enough sleep, it’s gloomy and rainy out or you may just need more nutrients in your body! Here are five surprising energy zappers and how you can bounce back and get more done each day!

5 Energy Zappers

Skipping Breakfast not only zaps your energy it’s also not healthy for your blood sugar levels. After sleeping for 7-9 hours a night your body is craving healthy nutrients.

Dehydration is a new twist on fatigue! If you are tired all the time, one of the reasons may be you are not getting enough water in your body.

Clutter is all around us with daily mail, newspapers, magazines and other papers piling up at your home and office. It gets overwhelming, challenging to control and tiresome.

Plugged-in to our electronic devices is happening more than ever before. We have a smart phone or computer with us at all times and have become an instant society expecting immediate responses.

Overcommitted by always saying YES can bring on fatigue and stress.

Tip: My top energy foods; morning protein shake or oatmeal, hydrate with water often, snack with fruit, a natural sugar and snack with nuts and seeds, full of fiber and omega-3’s.

How to Bounce Back

EnergyMorning Protein is the best way to energize your body and jump starts your day! Busy like me then start your morning with a protein shake to keep blood sugar levels balanced allowing your body to burn stored fat as fuel.

Hydrate your body in the morning with two 8-ounce glasses of water to rehydrate after sleeping all night. Continue drinking water throughout the day until you consume half your body weight in ounces.

DeClutter by going green! Sort incoming mail and other papers by filing, shredding and recycling right away. Check out the link below on how to stop the clutter from coming into your house!

Unplug from ALL electronic devices; computer, television, video game and smart phone for a few hours each day.

Just Say NO! Evaluate what is really important to you and your family. Start saying NO to what doesn’t fit! I am saying NO more and feel such a relief!

Tip: Seth Godin says this well from his book The Dip “Quit the wrong stuff, Stick with the right stuff, have the guts to do one or the other.”
